An exhibition by Eva and Franco Mattes a.k.a. 0100101110101101.ORG
Through 2006 and 2007, Eva and Franco Mattes, also known as 0100101110101101.ORG, created portraits of avatars, i.e. the customizable personas that people inhabit in online virtual worlds.
This project gained the Mattes the New York Prize 2006. The 13 Most Beautiful Avatars were first exhibited in Second Life, at Ars Virtua, than in Real Life, as large format prints on canvas, at the Italian Academy in New York and at Postmasters Gallery, New York.
